Comprehensive Treatment Planning Q & A

What is comprehensive treatment planning?

Comprehensive treatment planning is what our team uses to map out your dental implant plan.

When it comes to replacing missing teeth, dental implants make a wonderful choice for most people. However, the placement of your implants may require several steps to ensure the safest, most predictable, and successful outcome.

With our comprehensive treatment planning, you get a personalized plan that maps out treatment tailored specifically to you with each step needed until you get your new smile.

In addition to working as a guide for us, your comprehensive treatment plan keeps you informed of the process to reduce any fears or anxiety you may be feeling.

How is my comprehensive treatment plan developed?

We create your comprehensive treatment plan during your initial consultation. At this visit, we review in detail your medical and dental history and the diagnostic images provided by your dentist.

We will also conduct a comprehensive oral exam and additional imaging with our in-house CT scan machine.

After assessing your oral health needs, we review our findings with you and discuss the options, as well as the pros and cons of each. Together, we create a comprehensive treatment plan that helps you achieve your goals. You may even be able to start treatment on the day of your initial visit.

What might a comprehensive treatment plan include?

Oftentimes as dental patients, we focus on a single problem area…and then another…and then another; and before we realize it, we’re in the “dental domino effect.” We find ourselves in our dentist’s chair at the worst time possible and it feels like we’re spending money hand-over-fist, only to have it go down the drain.

At PermaDent  Dental Implant Center, we help our patients to be informed about their unique dental architecture and to be proactive about their long-term oral health.

A combination of technology and expertise help us begin with a full understanding of the patient’s oral health history and current status. As we gather a complete picture, we can zone in on immediate problem areas and hat could arise over time due to your particular circumstances.

From there, we create a plan for how and in which order things need to be addressed. In doing so, our patients are better prepared, their treatment is more predictable, and they can spend their time and resources working toward an established goal.

If you have found yourself in the “dental domino effect,” a comprehensive treatment plan is probably right for you.

Your comprehensive treatment plan is personalized to meet your needs. Your plan may include:

Type of dental implant

At PermaDent Dental Implant Center, we are the dental implant specialists and offer many options for restoring your smile, whether you need to replace one tooth or all of your teeth using techniques such as the All-on-4®, 6 or 8.

We also offer same-day dental implants. Your comprehensive treatment plan includes the type of dental implant support best suited for you.

Pre-implant oral health care

Your comprehensive treatment plan includes any additional steps you need before the placement of your implant.

For example, to be considered a good candidate for dental implants, you require adequate jawbone and a good ability to heal. If your jawbone has deteriorated due to tooth loss, you may need a bone graft prior to the placement of your dental implant.

Dental implant process

So you have a good understanding of what’s going to happen, we include specific information about what you can expect throughout your entire experience. This may include details about the procedure, sedation, healing time required, and placement of your permanent crown or denture.

We also offer a lifetime warranty for your dental implants, which isn’t offered by any other dentist in the area.
