Dentures are a prosthesis that replaces missing teeth. When you think of dentures, you may think of removable dentures. Dentures stay in place either by creating a type of suction between the denture and your gums, or by using over the counter adhesive products.
While removable dentures make a good option for replacing missing teeth and restoring your self-esteem, they have some drawbacks, such as food restrictions and the possibility that your teeth may fall out at any time.
At PermaDent Dental Implant Center, we understand your concerns about dentures, and we have a solution that can give you the smile you want without the drawbacks that come with removable dentures: fixed dentures.
Fixed dentures are a permanent solution for missing teeth. To give you the security you’re looking for, we use dental implants that keep your dentures (both top and bottom) in place, without the need to ever worry again about your teeth falling out or not being able to eat some of your favorite foods.
Your fixed dentures can either be secure screw-retained dentures that only a dentist can remove or dentures you can take in and out as needed.
In either case, once your dentist secures your dentures to dental implants, they’ll look and act just like your natural teeth.
We provide you with the dental implant you need to support your fixed denture, and your regular dentist provides the permanent denture prosthesis.
We use an innovative dental implant procedure for your fixed dentures, which includes the All-on-4®, All-on-6®, and All-on-8®. The number corresponds to the number of implants needed to secure your denture. We work with you to determine the best implant for you based on your oral health needs.
In most cases, we only need to place four dental implant anchors to get the secure fit you’re looking for. After an initial consultation, we can place your dental implants in one day and your dentist will provide a temporary set of dentures until your permanent set is ready.
Compared to removable dentures, fixed dentures offer many advantages. Some of which include:
The dental implant also prevents jawbone loss due to the stimulation provided by the implant anchor we place in your jaw. Bone loss is one of the main reasons removable dentures no longer fit after a while.
All our dental implants are under warranty. We are the only dental practice that offers this service.
